Research

  • Phylogenetic diversity patterns
Patterns of phylogenetic diversity and phylogenetic beta diversity have long been an intriguing field in biodiversity studies. I analysed and assessed the relative importance of environmental factors and geographical distance governing plant distribution and species assembly over various spatial scales.
  • Niche Evolution
To characterize the niche of species over large scales, I used species distribution modelling to predict the potential ranges of each species, and used maximum likelihood/parsimony to reconstruct the process of niche evolution.
